Releasor agrees to indemnify the releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage or cost releasees may incur due to the presence of releasor in or on Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift premises, at 8454 Beechmont Ave., or at adoption activities offsite. Releasor assumes full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to negligence of releasors or otherwise while on Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift premises or while participating in volunteer work or adoption activities for Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dba Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift on or off its premises. Releasor agrees that this release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by Ohio law and that if any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and legal effect. Releasor, being of lawful age, and guardian of said minor, in consideration of being permitted to participate in volunteer and/or adoption activities for Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dba Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift and enter upon the premises or participate in adoption activities of Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dba Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift, does foe himself/herself, and all heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release and forever discharge Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dba Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift, its administrators and other personnel of and from any and every claim, demand, action or right of action, of whatsoever kind of nature, either in law or in equity arising from or by reason of any bodily injury or personal injuries known or unknown, death and/or property damage resulting or to result from any accident which may occur as a result of participation in volunteer or adoption activities for Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dba Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift, whether by negligence or not. Releasor further states that s/he has carefully read this release and knows the contents of this release and signs this release as his/her own free act. Releasor further releases all Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue and Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift officials and professional personnel from any claim whatsoever on account of first aid, treatment or service rendered to releasor or releasor's minor child(ren) during participation in volunteer or adoption activities. This release contains the entire agreement between the parties to this agreement and the terms of this agreement are contractual and not mere recital.* I HAVE READ, I FULLY UNDERSTAND, AND I AGREE (BY MY SIGNATURE BELOW) TO THE RELEASE OF CLAIMS. Sexual Harassment PolicyPeppermint Pig Animal Rescue dba Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift is committed to providing a safe place that is free from sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is against the law and will NOT be tolerated. When a volunteer feels that s/he has been subjected to sexual harassment, that volunteer will take prompt action by telling TWO Board of Director members. At which time appropriate corrective action will be taken by the board members against the perpetrator of the advances if deemed necessary. WHAT IS SEXUAL HARASSMENT? Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when: Unwelcome actions such as the following are inappropriate and, depending on the circumstances, may end in and of themselves meet the definition of sexual harassment:: Sexual pranks, or repeated sexual teasing, jokes, or innuendo, in person or via email; Verbal abuse of a sexual nature; Touching or grabbing of a sexual nature; repeatedly standing too close or brushing up against a person; Repeatedly asking a person to socialize during off-duty hours when the person has said no or has indicated s/he is not interested (supervisors in particular should be careful not to pressure their employees to socialize); Giving gifts or leaving objects that are sexually suggestive; Repeatedly making sexually suggestive gestures; Making or posting sexually demeaning or offensive pictures, cartoons other materials in the workplace; Off-duty, unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that effects the work environment. I UNDERSTAND THAT A VICTIM OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT CAN BE A MAN OR A WOMAN. THE VICTIM CAN BE OF THE SAME SEX AS THE HARASSER. THE HARASSER CAN BE A BOARD MEMBER, A STORE VOLUNTEER, OR A NON-VOLUNTEER WHO HAS A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP WITH PEPPERMINT PIG ANIMAL RESCUE. I AGREE TO TAKE PROMPT ACTION BY TELLING TWO BOARD MEMBERS IF I FEEL I AM A VICTIM OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
